Full job description

Senior Software Engineer role responsible for technical leadership in architecting, developing, and owning Addressability in the Zeta Marketing Platform. Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and Executives to build a multichannel marketing solution that unifies data across digital touchpoints. Design and develop real-time systems and infrastructure enabling core Identity Solutions. Mentor developers and share knowledge. Requires deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and experience with large-scale, low-latency data processing. Hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany office.

What you'll do

  • Build, refine, tune, and maintain real-time infrastructure
  • Design, develop and maintain services responsible for data collection and real-time data processing
  • Work with Product Managers to design and build data products
  • Collaborate with DevOps team to scale and optimize infrastructure
  • Participate in architecture discussions, influence roadmap, take ownership of new projects
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of experience/fluency in Scala/Java
  • Proficient with both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with container-based solutions is a plus
  • Experience with ZIO, Akka, Play Framework is a plus
  • Experience using cloud services (AWS) at scale
  • Experience using Terraform
  • Proven long term experience and enthusiasm for distributed data processing at scale
  • Expertise in designing and architecting distributed low latency and scalable solutions in cloud
  • Exposure to full software development lifecycle from inception to production and monitoring
  • Experience in Advertising Attribution domain is a plus
  • Experience in agile software development processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
