Full job description

Senior Software Engineer role in San Francisco, CA to design, develop, and own a distributed systems CRM platform emphasizing performance, redundancy, and concurrency. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop and execute a roadmap for a multichannel marketing solution. Responsibilities include designing and implementing core components, writing application code, ensuring product quality through code reviews and unit tests, fixing bugs, enhancing features, owning significant product components, and building/improving data/ETL pipelines. Required skills include proficiency in Java, Ruby, Python, J2EE, Kafka, Elasticsearch, NoSQL (Aerospike), Thrift, CI, and AWS. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 4 years of relevant experience required. Hybrid work option with up to 4 days telecommuting per week. Salary is $187,574 per year. What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and own the distributed systems CRM platform focusing on performance, redundancy, and concurrency
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop a roadmap and execute projects

  • Understand business requirements to design and implement core components
  • Design and implement application code to satisfy product requirements
  • Ensure high product quality through code reviews and unit tests
  • Fix bugs and implement enhancements
  • Take ownership of the design and implementation of significant product components
  • Build and improve data/ETL pipelines
  • Develop scalable, robust software platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • 4 years of experience in the job offered or similar occupation
  • Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases (such as Aerospike), Thrift, CI, and AWS
  • Experience working on data/ETL pipelines
  • Ability to design and implement core components for a marketing automation platform
  • Proficiency in Java, Ruby, Python, or equivalent OO paradigm languages
