Epsilon, a subsidiary of Publicis Groupe, seeks a Senior Software Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to design, build, and scale backend systems using Java and Python in an Agile environment. The role focuses on spec-driven AI-assisted development using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Kiro. Responsibilities include developing scalable backend services, AI-assisted code generation and optimization, building RAG-based and Agentic AI workflows, leading system design discussions, ensuring code quality, collaborating cross-functionally, and resolving production issues. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience, strong Java and Python skills, backend engineering experience with Java frameworks, experience with build tools and Git, data modeling skills, Unix/Linux experience, mandatory experience with AI-assisted development and AI coding tools, hands-on experience with RAG and Agentic AI, strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OOP, design patterns, system design, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, technical leadership, and Agile/Scrum experience. Preferred skills include frontend exposure with Angular, experience with Databricks, Spark, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability.
