Full job description

Senior SAP Commerce (Hybris) Developer role based in Sofia. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable e-commerce solutions using SAP Commerce. Collaborate with architects, product owners, designers, and QA to implement business requirements. Build and extend SAP Commerce functionality including custom extensions, OCC APIs, backoffice, and integration layers. Ensure performance, security, and scalability. Integrate SAP Commerce with ERP, PIM, CMS, OMS, payment providers, and third-party services. Apply best practices in code quality, architecture, testing, and documentation. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and production troubleshooting. Requirements: 5+ years enterprise Java development experience, strong SAP Commerce expertise, experience with OCC/REST APIs, Java fundamentals (Spring, MVC, REST), web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), relational databases and SQL, build and deployment tools (Maven, Gradle, CI/CD), performance optimization, scalability, secure coding, Agile/Scrum experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to have: SAP Cloud services, CCv2, composable commerce architectures, SAP integrations (S/4HANA, CPI, SAP ERP), SAP certifications, experience with large multi-market e-commerce implementations. What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce solutions using SAP Commerce (Hybris)
  • Collaborate closely with solution architects, product owners, designers, and QA to translate business requirements into technical implementations
  • Build and extend core SAP Commerce functionality including custom extensions, OCC APIs, backoffice, and integration layers
  • Ensure high performance, security, and scalability across frontend, backend, and integration components
  • Integrate SAP Commerce with ERP, PIM, CMS, OMS, payment providers, and third-party services
  • Apply best practices in code quality, architecture, testing, and documentation
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the delivery team
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and production troubleshooting

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise Java development
  • Significant hands-on SAP Commerce (Hybris) experience
  • Strong expertise in SAP Commerce core concepts: items, types, extensions, services, impex, flexible search, cronjobs
  • Proven experience with OCC / REST APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise system landscapes
  • Solid Java fundamentals (Spring, MVC, REST)
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools (Maven, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and secure coding practices
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication
