Full job description

Samba seeks a senior Product Designer to lead UI/UX strategy for its unified client reporting portal, Samba's Bridge. This individual contributor role involves full ownership of design from user research to high-fidelity prototypes and design systems. The designer will ensure brand cohesion by partnering with marketing and translating brand identity into product design. Responsibilities include creating UI/UX strategy, presenting to C-level executives, establishing design processes, and advocating user-centered design. Requirements include 5+ years in product design with experience in B2B or data-heavy applications, strong UX and visual design skills, proficiency in Figma, and ability to work independently and influence teams. The role offers a salary range of $150,000 to $190,000 USD per year, with benefits including health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, PTO, and bonuses. Locations include New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

What you'll do

  • Take full ownership of UI/UX for the unified client reporting portal, transforming an internal interface into an intuitive, data-rich experience for clients and partners
  • Conduct user research with clients and internal stakeholders to understand pain points, workflows, and opportunities
  • Design end-to-end experiences from information architecture through high-fidelity prototypes and implementation specs
  • Establish design systems, patterns, and standards that scale across the platform
  • Partner closely with marketing to ensure the portal authentically reflects brand identity, voice, and values
  • Bridge the gap between marketing assets and product experience, creating visual and experiential consistency
  • Define how brand elements translate into functional product design
  • Create UI/UX strategy from scratch, defining vision, approach, and roadmap with support from Chief Product Officer
  • Present design rationale and recommendations directly to C-level executives
  • Establish design processes, tools, and workflows that position the company for future team growth
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex B2B or data-heavy applications

  • Experience designing reporting, analytics, or dashboard interfaces
  • Track record of building design strategy in early-stage or transformation environments
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at creating structure where none exists
  • Ability to balance quick wins with long-term vision
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience communicating design decisions to executive audiences
  • Skilled at gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders and translating them into coherent design solutions
  • Comfortable being the sole design voice in the room and confidently advocating for users
  • Expert-level skills in Figma or equivalent design tools
  • Understanding of front-end development constraints and opportunities
