Merkle, a dentsu company, is hiring a mid-level full-time Product Designer based in Lisbon with hybrid work (1 day per week in office). The role involves leading end-to-end design of multi-surface campaigns and content experiences across email, web, and app, working with design systems and Adobe Experience Manager. Requires 4-6 years experience in product design for premium consumer brands, advanced Figma skills, strong documentation, stakeholder management, accessibility and inclusive design proficiency, and fluency in English. Responsibilities include translating campaign briefs into surface-specific concepts, leading ideation sessions, creating experience maps, applying brand voice, and delivering handoff-ready designs. What you'll do
- Own end-to-end design of multi-surface campaigns and content experiences across email, web, and app
- Define reusable interaction patterns within the client's component library
- Plan and synthesize research with Researchers to inform decisions and roadmaps for Global Traveler and Modern Saudi Traveler audiences
- Translate campaign briefs and insights into surface-specific concepts and prioritized work
- Adapt copy and layout for each surface without copy-pasting
- Work within and extend design system and Adobe Experience Manager component library
- Document component choices, variants, layout settings, states, and motion for AEM authors and developers
- Lead product ideation sessions and cross-functional problem-definition workshops
- Create holistic experience maps and campaign vision to keep email, web, and app coherent and aligned
- Influence senior stakeholders with rationale linking user value, feasibility, and commercial impact
- Apply client's brand voice across surfaces, shaping subject lines, CTAs, push-notification text, and microcopy
- Deliver handoff-ready design with correct component and variant choices, precise crop ratios, responsive breakpoints, and explanatory annotations
Requirements
- 4–6 years’ experience leading end-to-end product design across multiple releases
- Experience with premium consumer brands spanning web, mobile, and email/campaign work
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (variables/advanced prototyping) and experimentation methods
- Strong system/governance documentation skills
- Experience designing within established design systems and component-based authoring environments (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager / Universal Editor)
- Demonstrated facilitation and stakeholder management across disciplines
- Proficiency in accessibility, inclusive design, and cultural/market nuance
- Comfort designing for Middle East and global audiences in US English
- Fluent English
- Strong foundation in interaction design, prototyping, and human-centered design principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI expertise across web, mobile, and email/campaign work
- Sharp editorial sensibility with ability to right-size copy per surface and respect brand voice and component character limits
- Systems thinker who simplifies complexity and scales quality
- Persuasive storyteller synthesizing data/insight into compelling direction
