Full job description

StackAdapt is seeking a mid-level People Science and Insights Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term remote contract in Canada. The role involves consulting with stakeholders, cleaning and analyzing workforce data, building predictive models, and creating automated data workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake. The analyst will translate complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and People teams. Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in people analytics or workforce data science, strong AI/ML knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Compensation ranges from $114,000 to $164,000 CAD base salary, with additional benefits including health coverage, paid time off, mental health programs, and professional development support.

What you'll do

  • Act as an internal analytics consultant for stakeholders to define the 'why' before building the 'how'
  • Clean and refine imperfect datasets to produce clear, defensible insights
  • Build and deploy end-to-end models to predict and optimize organizational trends and people programs
  • Translate complex statistical outputs into clear, jargon-free stories for executive decision-making
  • Design and maintain automated workflows and data products using dbt and Snowflake to enable scalable self-service

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in people analytics, workforce data science, or a related field within a fast-paced, high-growth organization
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines or databases (e.g., SQL, Python, dbt, or equivalent)
  • Experience partnering with HR, Finance, or People teams to deliver data-driven insights and executive-level reporting
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in people analytics and commitment to responsible, ethical data use
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills for non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative, self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently
