Full job description

Lead technical decisions and contribute across the full software development lifecycle for backend solutions using .NET/C#. Ensure scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-quality backend systems and microservices. Own complex feature delivery and solve technical and architectural challenges. Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, run technical ceremonies, and execute technical enablers and proof-of-concepts. Monitor system health, analyze performance, support non-functional testing, handle technical incidents, and participate in release deployments. Mentor developers and support onboarding. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Required skills include strong expertise in .NET/C#, AWS, DevOps, ECS, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, API Management, Linux, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), debugging, performance optimization, and security best practices. Agile experience (Scrum, SAFe) and fluent English required. Hybrid work model based in Belgrade, Serbia.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical decisions for new features, improvements, and architectural evolution
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, and release
  • Ensure scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-quality backend solutions
  • Own complex feature delivery and solve key technical and architectural challenges
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices
  • Run technical ceremonies such as Security & Quality gates and technical planning meetings
  • Identify and execute technical enablers and proof-of-concepts
  • Monitor system health, analyze performance, and support non-functional testing (load, connectivity, disaster recovery planning)
  • Handle L2/L3 technical incidents and participate in release deployments
  • Mentor developers, lead training sessions, and support onboarding of new team members
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, developers, IT teams, and external partners

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on expertise in .NET / C# (ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET 8/10)
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend systems and microservices
  • Strong understanding of AWS, DevOps, ECS, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, API Management (APIM)
  • Experience with Linux commands and server environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Solid experience in debugging, performance optimization, and security best practices
  • Cloud platform experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of LLM, Coding Agents, MCPs is a plus
  • ReactJS or other frontend experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical topics for various stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Leadership and mentoring capability
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Fluent English (spoken & written); French is an advantage
