Full job description

Senior Machine Learning Engineer role focused on causality at Criteo. Responsibilities include analyzing causal impact of advertising campaigns, developing ML models to predict causal impact and influence bidding strategies, designing and building large-scale data pipelines, contributing to A/B test analysis tooling, and collaborating with Data, Product, and Engineering teams. Requires a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, 5+ years experience as ML Engineer or Data Scientist/Researcher, programming skills in Python, Java, or C++, experience with large-scale data processing (Hadoop preferred), and knowledge of classical and modern ML techniques. Fluent English and ability to work in multicultural teams required. What you'll do

  • Analyze the causal impact of advertising campaigns using experiments, third-party data, and advanced measurement techniques
  • Develop machine learning models to predict causal impact and influence bidding strategies
  • Design and build multi-stage data pipelines processing terabytes of data daily
  • Contribute to tooling for A/B test analysis to ensure accurate measurement of campaign and product performance
  • Collaborate closely with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to bring research into production
  • Contribute to a strong scientific and engineering culture by sharing best practices and new ideas

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a ML Engineer or Data Scientist/Researcher
  • Hands-on development experience in at least one mainstream programming language (Python, Java, C++)
  • Skilled in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large-scale datasets, ideally in a Hadoop-based environment
  • Experience with classical and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working in international, multicultural teams
  • Curious, rigorous, and motivated by problems where science, product, and business impact meet
