Full job description

Senior Systems Engineer role focused on infrastructure design and delivery within an enterprise IT organization. Responsibilities include driving automation-first infrastructure operations, building Infrastructure as Code pipelines with Terraform and Ansible, supporting CI/CD and DevOps workflows, leveraging AI-assisted tools for scripting, managing Linux (RHEL) platform lifecycle, administering Linux systems and network configurations, supporting containerized workloads, enforcing security and compliance, and collaborating on hybrid-cloud solutions. Requires 8+ years experience in systems engineering or DevOps, expertise in Linux administration, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and familiarity with container orchestration and monitoring tools. Preferred certifications include RHCE, AWS/Azure Architect, and Terraform Associate.

What you'll do

  • Drive automation-first approach to infrastructure operations
  • Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines using Terraform and Ansible
  • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate scripting and maintain code quality
  • Develop automation solutions using Python, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Manage lifecycle of enterprise Linux platforms including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning
  • Administer Linux systems including file systems, storage layouts, and network configurations
  • Support containerized workloads and hybrid virtualization platforms
  • Implement lifecycle management, security configurations, access controls, and compliance
  • Participate in technical delivery activities, POCs, architecture reviews, and task allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver hybrid-cloud solutions
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure delivery, or DevOps roles
  • Significant exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP desirable)
  • Deep technical expertise in Linux administration (RHEL)
  • Strong understanding of system internals, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible)
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash; PowerShell is a plus
  • Experience with hybrid Agile environments and DevOps automation frameworks
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
  • Solid understanding of virtualization, compute, storage, and networking
  • Advanced troubleshooting across system, application, and network domains
  • Experience enforcing infrastructure security controls and compliance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred certifications: RHCE, AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, HashiCorp Terraform Associate or equivalent
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKS)
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
