Full job description

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS. Ensure compliance with SEC, SOX, and US regulatory requirements. Act as contact for accounting issues across departments. Maintain master data and reporting quality. Support special projects in external accounting and national/international accounting issues. Develop and adjust accounting and consolidation guidelines and reporting processes. Optimize processes through automation and digitalization. Requirements include a degree in economics/accounting or comparable education, relevant senior accounting experience, strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, SEC reporting and SOX compliance experience, consolidation knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with management reporting and disclosure systems. Position is hybrid with three days per week in NYC office.

What you'll do

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements including appendices for the entire group of companies in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS and capital market publications
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring proper recording of all transactions and compliance with SEC, SOX, and other US regulatory requirements
  • Serve as contact person for all departments for accounting issues and questions
  • Maintain master data and ensure quality of reporting
  • Support and take on special projects in external accounting and clarify special issues in national and international accounting
  • Continuously develop and adjust accounting and consolidation guidelines and reporting processes
  • Optimize processes and actively advance automation, standardization, and digitalization of accounting
  • Support with special tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Completed degree in economics with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable education
  • Relevant professional experience as a (Senior) Group Accountant or in a comparable position
  • Strong expertise in US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and US regulatory frameworks
  • Practical or theoretical consolidation knowledge
  • Very good Excel skills
  • Knowledge of management reporting systems (LucaNet is a plus)
  • Knowledge of disclosure management systems
  • Interested in being part of an international capital market-oriented group of companies
  • Quick comprehension, analytical thinking, and very good communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality
