Full job description

Liftoff is hiring a Senior GenAI Software Engineer to join the Creative GenAI team. The role involves architecting and shipping AI systems for generating ad creatives, including interactive playables, using generative AI technologies such as vision and diffusion models. Responsibilities include prototyping, productionizing solutions, collaborating with creative teams, designing robust AI output systems, building evaluation infrastructure, researching new AI capabilities, and mentoring engineers. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript skills, experience shipping LLM-powered systems, and strong system design and debugging skills. The position is full-time and remote, based in London, UK. Benefits include equity, health coverage, wellness stipends, and other perks based on location.

What you'll do

  • Architect and ship AI systems that generate ad creatives end-to-end including interactive playables
  • Rapidly prototype and move successful proofs-of-concept to production
  • Partner with creative strategists, content leads, and builders to scale systems
  • Design robust systems with guardrails, fallbacks, and quality gates for AI-generated output
  • Build evaluation infrastructure for creative output including subjective quality assessment, human-in-the-loop review, and A/B testing
  • Research new model capabilities and propose new initiatives
  • Mentor team members and raise engineering practice standards

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Significant pre-LLM production experience
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and observability
  • Strong Python skills for AI/agent work
  • Fluent in JavaScript/TypeScript for creative and playables work
  • Experience with HTML and gaming is a plus
  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems to production
  • Experience building autonomous agents
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities
