Full job description

The Trade Desk is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA. The role involves designing and implementing scalable, secure internal web applications and services using C#, TypeScript, React, and .NET. Responsibilities include developing REST/GraphQL APIs, database schemas, CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and AI-assisted tools in Python. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, own project lifecycles, and analyze product data to improve processes. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related field, 8 years of relevant experience, proficiency in modern coding languages, full-stack design, technical communication, SQL, software development lifecycle, and programming in C#, Python, and React. What you'll do

  • Design system architectures and application components for internal web applications and services including frontend, backend, API contracts, and database models
  • Ensure designs align with scalability, security, and compliance requirements
  • Implement and maintain internal web applications and services using C#, TypeScript, React, and .NET
  • Develop REST/GraphQL APIs, database schemas (SQL), and service integrations following secure coding and data governance practices
  • Build and operate CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices and web applications
  • Monitor releases and resolve deployment issues
  • Develop and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards
  • Analyze operational and product data to assess effectiveness of process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical designs
  • Deliver incremental, production-ready features
  • Own full lifecycle of medium to large projects including design, implementation, documentation, rollout, monitoring, and iterative improvement
  • Build AI-assisted tools and automation in Python using Large Language Models and Retrieval Augmented Generation to streamline routine tasks and improve internal tooling

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8 years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 8 years coding in modern language
  • 5 years full-stack software design experience
  • 5 years technical communication experience including writing design documents, system documentation, providing feedback, and project updates
  • 4 years writing SQL
  • 3 years software development lifecycle experience including version control, code review, and deployment
  • 2 years programming in C#
  • 2 years programming in Python
  • 2 years programming in React
