Full job description

Simulmedia is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop and improve software products for TV advertising campaign management, delivery, and reporting. The role requires working closely with product managers, designers, and data engineers to deliver features across the stack. Location in Ukraine is mandatory, with offices in Kyiv and Lviv; the team primarily works remotely with occasional in-person meetings. Responsibilities include developing frontend and backend services using React, Next.js, TypeScript, building scalable APIs with tRPC, creating SSR/SSG pages for analytics, collaborating with designers using Tailwind CSS, optimizing performance, deploying on Vercel, owning features end-to-end, participating in code reviews, and implementing testing. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a technical field, 5+ years senior full stack experience, proficiency in TypeScript, React ecosystem, Tailwind CSS, data visualization libraries, SSR/SSG with Next.js, backend development with Bun/Node.js and tRPC, scalable data-fetching layers, system design, serverless infrastructure, testing frameworks, Git, and strong communication skills. Must work 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EEST to coordinate with U.S. teams. Bonus points for Ruby experience, familiarity with CTV platforms, digital advertising, media analytics, SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization.

What you'll do

  • Develop frontend and backend services using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Build robust, scalable APIs using tRPC
  • Create efficient pages using SSR or SSG via Next.js for analytics displays
  • Collaborate with designers to implement responsive user interfaces using Tailwind CSS
  • Optimize full stack for quick load times, low-latency data fetching, and smooth user experiences
  • Deploy and manage platform using Vercel serverless functions
  • Own features end-to-end from API and data layer through UI to production
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Implement unit and end-to-end testing for frontend and backend components

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in full stack development with focus on web applications and data-driven platforms
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript including strong typing and interface design
  • Deep understanding of React ecosystem including hooks, functional components, React Server Components
  • Proficiency in Tailwind CSS for responsive and accessible UIs
  • Experience building data visualization tools and dashboards using React-based libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js)
  • Experience with SSR and SSG using Next.js for performance and SEO optimization
  • Proficiency in backend development with Bun or Node.js and tRPC API framework
  • Experience designing and developing APIs with authentication, authorization, and security best practices
  • Proficiency in building scalable and reliable data-fetching layers for real-time or large-scale analytics
  • Experience designing scalable web application architectures including APIs and data flow
  • Experience with serverless architectures, edge computing, CDN usage, and deployment on Vercel or similar
  • Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Proficiency in Git with experience in pull requests, code reviews, and branching strategies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work 11:00 AM — 8:00 PM EEST to communicate with U.S.-based teams
