Full job description

Digital Turbine seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and build full-stack features including front-end, back-end services, and APIs for campaign management, reporting, and marketplace optimization. The role requires 5+ years of experience with backend architecture, system design, and code optimization. Candidates must have strong algorithmic skills, proficiency in multiple programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Scala, C++), experience with React and relational/distributed databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and strong API design and testing skills. Responsibilities include owning services in production, collaborating with product leads, mentoring teammates, and choosing appropriate tools for problems in a polyglot stack. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containers, CI/CD, and exposure to AdTech or high-throughput data products is a plus. The position is hybrid, located in New York, NY. Salary range is $143,000-$196,625 plus stock options, unlimited PTO, and performance bonuses.

What you'll do

  • Design and build full-stack features including responsive web front-ends, back-end services, and APIs for campaign management, reporting, and marketplace optimization
  • Choose appropriate languages and tools for each problem in a polyglot stack
  • Push complex computational logic and heavy algorithmic work to scalable back-end services
  • Build and consume well-designed APIs integrating products into a unified architecture
  • Own services in production including testing, observability, performance, and on-call duties
  • Collaborate with product leads and stakeholders on scoping, estimation, and technical decisions
  • Mentor teammates and raise engineering standards through code review, automation, and architecture

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and shipping production platforms with backend architecture, system design, and code optimization focus
  • Strong algorithmic fundamentals and data structures
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multiple programming languages/ecosystems
  • Solid command of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) and back-end service design
  • Experience with relational and/or distributed data stores (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, testing, and system design
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, agile, ownership-driven environment
