Full job description

RTB House seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer for its Bidding Platform team. The role involves designing and implementing high-performance frontend ad display solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript, adhering to ad industry standards (OpenRTB, MRAID, VAST). Responsibilities include developing monitoring systems for reliability and viewability metrics, collaborating with backend and Ads Layouts teams, and providing technical leadership including code reviews and project planning. Requirements include 8+ years of complex web software development experience, proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and build tools (Webpack, Vite), strong web performance optimization skills, knowledge of Internet protocols, production system monitoring, full-stack concepts, and C1 level English and Polish. Experience in AdTech and Real User Monitoring is a plus. The position offers remote work or office presence in Warsaw or Cracow, cooperation on a B2B contract, and work on high-quality, performance-focused projects within an interdisciplinary team.

What you'll do

  • Gain deep understanding of ad technology and ad industry standards such as OpenRTB, MRAID, VAST
  • Design and lead implementation of high-quality frontend solutions for displaying ads globally, focusing on performance and scalability
  • Write, test, and deploy robust, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript/TypeScript adhering to highest coding standards
  • Develop monitoring systems to track metrics like reliability and viewability and use data to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborate closely with Ads Layouts specialists and backend engineers to ensure smooth data flow and optimal architectural alignment for performance-critical features
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership by solving complex system challenges, participating in planning and scoping projects, and ensuring highest coding standards through code reviews

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in developing complex web software
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and browser APIs
  • Experience with build tooling such as Webpack and Vite
  • Strong understanding of Web Performance optimization techniques and advanced loading strategies (caching, asset delivery)
  • Very good knowledge of fundamental Internet protocols and technologies (DNS, HTTP, cookies, etc.)
  • Practical ability to observe, monitor and analyse the operation of production systems
  • Good understanding of full-stack concepts including system architectures, backend APIs, and deployment/CI/CD pipelines
  • C1 level in English and Polish
