Full job description

Senior Front-End Software Development Engineer role focused on UI Foundations. Responsibilities include providing technical vision for front-end development, developing and maintaining libraries and tools such as the Criteo Design System, collaborating with engineers and designers, optimizing web applications, and staying current with industry trends. Required skills include proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js), Git, and strong web development principles. Preferred experience with Angular, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, build tools, testing frameworks, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. The position is full-time, hybrid, located in Bucharest, Romania. What you'll do

  • Provide a technical vision and plan for front-end development across Criteo
  • Develop, maintain and review different libraries, SDKs and tools, including the Criteo Design System
  • Collaborate with other front-end engineers to drive adoption and consistent usage of the stack
  • Collaborate with UX and UI designers to improve the design system
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the stack remains cutting-edge
  • Provide consultation on front-end topics such as UI/UX development and app performance
  • Evangelize best practices around front-end technologies
  • Build common libraries and UI components such as the Criteo Angular SDK, Generic Shell and Criteo Design System

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of experience as a front-end developer or similar role
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preferred: Experience with Angular & TypeScript
  • Preferred: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
  • Preferred: Knowledge of front-end build tools and testing frameworks
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
