Senior Engineering Manager - Machine Learning

What you'll do

• Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Machine Learning and Data Engineers
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and provide clear career progression paths
• Define the ML roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable, actionable data solutions
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of ML models including data pipelining, feature engineering, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Partner with Software Development teams, Program Management, and executive leadership
• Streamline workflows, manage technical debt, ensure data quality, and guarantee reliable, on-time delivery of data products
• Audit existing ML models and data pipelines to understand system behavior and performance gaps
• Identify and ship high-impact, production-ready improvements for performance or efficiency gains
• Establish experimentation and deployment framework to accelerate model iteration and reliability
• Define and execute phased ML roadmap evolving from heuristic-based to advanced predictive models
• Strengthen team through trust-based leadership, skills assessment, targeted hiring, and structured development plans

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science
• 5+ years in engineering management role overseeing ML/Data teams
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining models at scale, ideally within ad-tech
• Deep understanding of modern ML frameworks, data architecture, and cloud ecosystems (e.g., Google Cloud Platform)
• Technical ability to guide architectural decisions and review system designs
• Exceptional communication skills to present complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
• Passion for team building, clearing roadblocks, upskilling team, and fostering a thriving engineering environment
