Full job description
Senior Engineering Manager role leading the Ad Performance Recommendation team within a 200+ product development organization. The team develops AI-powered systems leveraging marketing ad tech data to generate actionable recommendations for digital advertisers. Responsibilities include leading a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Software Engineers, driving development and optimization of ML models, ensuring compliance with privacy and ethical standards, fostering engineering culture, mentoring team members, removing obstacles, recruiting talent, and shaping AI strategy. Requirements include 7+ years building services/products, 5+ years applying machine learning, 3+ years leading teams, proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, SQL, experience delivering scalable ML systems, strong communication skills, and ability to work 3 days per week onsite in Helsinki. Requirements
7+ years of experience in building services and products
5+ years of experience in applying machine learning to real-life problems
3+ years of experience in leading teams
Competent with key technologies in ML; PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, SQL
Able to mentor, coach, and develop data scientists and machine learning engineers
Proven experience in delivering scalable ML systems in production
Hands-on coaching including code reviews and pair programming
Pragmatic mindset focused on customer value
Curiosity and drive to continuously learn through study and experimentation
Ability to drive technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration
Understanding of security and compliance requirements when working with personal data
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field (Mathematics, CS, AI, Physics, etc.)
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
Ability to work 3 days per week at the office
