Full job description

Moloco is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for its Product Analytics Data Science team to improve performance of its core Ads product. The role involves conducting deep-dive analysis on large datasets, evaluating ads integrity including fraud detection, and building metrics to measure campaign health. Candidates must have strong problem-solving skills, statistical knowledge including experimental design and hypothesis testing, and programming experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar tools. The position requires 6+ years of experience in data science or an advanced quantitative degree with 4+ years experience. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally are essential. The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Menlo Park, CA or Seattle, WA. Salary range is $172,000 to $215,000 USD with competitive benefits.

What you'll do

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies
  • Analyze large datasets to extract valuable signals and produce actionable insights
  • Evaluate ads integrity by diagnosing fraud claims and mitigating fraud escalations
  • Build metrics to measure campaign health and improve campaign performance monitoring
  • Understand cause-and-effect relationships across drivers in the ads ecosystem

Requirements

  • Distinctive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to articulate product questions
  • Experience pulling data from large datasets
  • Strong statistical knowledge and experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression, and linear models
  • Programming experience with Python, R or other scripting languages
  • Experience with database languages such as SQL or data manipulation tools like Pandas or Dplyr
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to own complex projects end-to-end
  • Ability to build positive relationships within teams and with stakeholders
  • 6+ years of work experience in data science related fields or advanced degree with 4+ years experience
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
