Full job description

Teads is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their applied research team within the AI department. The role involves innovating in AdTech research areas such as CTR prediction, online learning, and high-dimensional embeddings. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into production features, lead the full lifecycle of model development including A/B testing and monitoring, and experiment with new algorithmic approaches. Requirements include an advanced degree (MSc/PhD) or equivalent experience, 4-5 years of applied ML research experience in high-throughput online environments, strong software engineering skills, critical thinking to analyze scientific papers, and excellent communication skills. The position is full-time, hybrid (3 days in office), located in Paris, France. What you'll do

Innovate at scale focusing on CTR prediction, online learning regimes, and high-dimensional embeddings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research gaps and translate them into production-ready features
Lead end-to-end lifecycle from research to A/B testing and monitoring model performance in live environment
Conduct deep work sessions to test unconventional hypotheses and new algorithmic approaches

Requirements

Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience
4–5 years of experience in applied research deploying ML algorithms in high-throughput online environments
Strong software engineering fundamentals
Ability to critically analyze scientific papers and implement core findings
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to peers and product managers
