Senior Data Engineer role requiring proficiency in Scala and Spark to build and optimize large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines. The role involves handling internet-scale data problems, architecting and building scalable systems for data processing, and working hands-on with various data pipelines. Requires 5+ years of software development experience and a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. Responsibilities include ownership of the full software development lifecycle and collaboration within the team. Tech stack includes Scala, Spark, Databricks, Java, Terraform, Docker, Jenkins, Airflow, and AWS services. The position offers a hybrid work schedule (Monday/Friday remote, Tuesday-Thursday in-office) and is located in multiple US cities including Los Angeles, CA. Salary range is $150,000 to $170,000 per year.

  • Engage in critical and creative thinking and constructive brainstorming
  • Experience designing and building systems for large-scale data volumes and data ingestion in a cloud-first setting or strong desire to learn
