Full job description

Senior Content Strategist role to guide creation, distribution, and governance of content for optimal customer experiences. Responsibilities include conducting content audits and gap analyses, partnering with UX and SEO teams, developing and managing taxonomies, collaborating with marketing, research, and product teams, providing training on taxonomy use, and staying current on industry trends. Requires Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in strategic content roles, taxonomy development experience, and familiarity with content management and digital asset management tools. Insurance experience is a plus. Salary range $82,500 - $120,000 annually. Remote position based in Maryland.

What you'll do

  • Conduct content audits and gap analyses to evaluate and improve content structures
  • Partner with UX designers, SEO specialists, and other partners to align taxonomy with content strategy vision
  • Develop and govern taxonomies and ontologies to improve content indexing, tagging, and retrieval
  • Collaborate with marketing, research, and product development teams to align content strategy with user and team goals
  • Provide training and support to content creators and managers on taxonomy use and best practices
  • Stay updated on digital and industry trends to keep content strategy relevant

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic content role within an agency or financial services environment
  • Experience with taxonomy development
  • Ability to develop points of view (POVs) and create compelling decks
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management tools
  • Insurance experience is a plus
