Full job description

Senior Business Intelligence Consultant role at Merkle with hybrid work in Belgrade. Responsibilities include stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering, data analysis, report/dashboard creation using BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau), and collaboration with data engineers for pipeline production and report automation. Requires 5+ years BI experience, preferably in telco, financial, or digital marketing sectors. Must have experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlick Sense, Keboola), strong SQL skills, data warehousing knowledge, and experience with SQL databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server). Preferred skills include cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), digital marketing/AdTech expertise, ETL tools, big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and scripting (Python, JavaScript). What you'll do

  • Participate in workshops with client's stakeholders to validate goals, expected inputs & deliverables
  • Conduct requirements gathering, logical models, functional & technical designs
  • Perform data analysis of business requirements, understand source data and map to target/common data model
  • Define and implement reports to visualize insights/KPIs on dashboards using BI tools like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Work with data engineers to productionize data pipelines and automate report generation & distribution

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar BI functional role (5+ years), preferably in telco, financial or digital marketing services industry
  • Experience using BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Qlick Sense, Keboola
  • Proficiency in data warehousing concepts (ETL, Stage/Core layer, Dimensional Modelling, Data Marts etc.) and SQL programming
  • Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle or MS SQL Server
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, data-oriented personality
  • Hands-on experience in MS Azure, AWS or other cloud-based environments is a plus
  • Business expertise in Digital Marketing (AdTech), Marketing Automation, CRM or e-commerce is an advantage
  • Understanding data workflow management and ETL tools like Informatica, Pentaho, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, NiFi, StreamSets, Glue, etc.
  • Understanding of big data processing using technologies like Hadoop, Spark
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript
