Full job description
Simulmedia is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to develop and maintain backend services for a TV advertising platform using Ruby (Roda) and TypeScript/Node.js. The role involves working within a distributed microservice architecture, ensuring service reliability, collaborating with data engineers on data pipelines, resolving production incidents, designing secure APIs, and writing tests. Candidates must have 5+ years Ruby backend experience, knowledge of observability tools, AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and ability to work 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM EEST. Location in Ukraine (Kyiv or Lviv) is mandatory.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services in Ruby (Roda) within a large-scale distributed microservice architecture
- Contribute to backend-focused TypeScript/Node.js work including API design and tRPC procedures for Next.js applications
