Klover's engineering team supports a fast-growing fintech platform with over one million active users monthly, processing over $1.5 billion annually. The role involves designing, building, and scaling backend microservices and APIs that handle high-volume financial and transactional data, integrating with third-party payment processors, banks, and fintech partners. The engineer will write maintainable, testable code, develop data-driven services for account management and financial insights, and work cross-functionally with backend, mobile, and product teams. The position requires 5+ years of backend production experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or banking, with knowledge of compliance and data privacy standards (SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR), microservice architecture, gRPC, protobuf, GraphQL, SQL, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). The role is hybrid with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote in Chicago, Illinois.
