DT is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance Android SDKs and on-device services. The role focuses on improving reliability, footprint, battery usage, and security of mobile software. Responsibilities include reducing install and delivery failures, collaborating with OEM and carrier teams, extending on-device features, owning product lifecycle including monitoring and on-call duties, and mentoring engineers. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in mobile software development with deep Android expertise (Kotlin/Java), familiarity with native internals, and preferably iOS experience. Strong skills in asynchronous programming, concurrency, memory and battery profiling, and mobile design patterns are required. Experience shipping SDKs or framework-level code and operating production software at scale is essential.
