Full job description

Samba TV is hiring a Senior Analyst, FP&A to join the Finance team, reporting to the Director of Corporate Development & FP&A. The role involves maintaining and building integrated financial models, driving budgeting and forecasting, leading variance analysis, standardizing business metrics reporting, and improving financial planning infrastructure. Responsibilities include partnering with business leaders on budgets, headcount, and ROI, supporting capital allocation decisions, and contributing to scalable financial processes. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, 2-4 years of FP&A or related experience, advanced financial modeling skills, knowledge of accrual accounting, and familiarity with ERP/planning systems. Preferred experience includes SaaS, AdTech, or Media industries, high-growth environments, and skills in SQL and data visualization. The position is full-time based in New York City with a salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 plus bonuses and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and evolve integrated financial models including P&L, balance sheet schedules, working capital dynamics, and cash flow projections
  • Build new financial models from scratch as business needs evolve
  • Drive annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles
  • Lead monthly variance analysis and provide clear narratives for leadership
  • Standardize tracking and reporting of business metrics including ARR, NRR, CAC, and unit economics
  • Contribute to design of scalable financial architecture and migration from spreadsheets to FP&A systems
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for financial reporting
  • Partner with Finance team during month-end close to validate accruals and reconcile data
  • Serve as finance partner for functional leaders including revenue and product teams
  • Collaborate on bottoms-up budgets, headcount planning, and ROI evaluation
  • Provide quantitative analysis and strategic support for capital allocation and special projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
  • 2–4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Transaction Services
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with ability to build integrated, multi-schedule models from scratch
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial statements
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems preferred
  • Background in SaaS, AdTech, or Media industries preferred
  • Experience in high-growth or pre-IPO environment preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and SQL preferred
  • Proven ability to partner with operational leaders on budget management and variance analysis
