Full job description

Senior Accountant position responsible for financial accounting and closing of acardo Group AG and other smaller companies within Verve Retail Media. Tasks include preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB, account reconciliations, management of receivables and payables, intercompany accounting, tax filings including VAT returns, support during audits, and ensuring compliance with commercial and tax law. Use of DATEV Pro for bookkeeping and monthly closing, support in transition to NetSuite, process optimization, and participation in finance digitalization and automation projects. Requirements include several years of accounting experience, knowledge of HGB and German tax law, experience with intercompany reconciliations, and fluent German and English skills. Education includes tax clerk training or comparable commercial education with focus on accounting, and further training as a certified accountant (IHK).

What you'll do

  • Eigenverantwortliche Betreuung der Finanzbuchhaltung der Business Unit
  • Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB
  • Durchführung von Kontenabstimmungen inklusive Bilanz- und GuV-Konten
  • Abstimmung von OPOS sowie Betreuung des Forderungs- und Verbindlichkeitenmanagements
  • Verbuchung und Abstimmung von Intercompany-Sachverhalten
  • Betreuung kleinerer Gesellschaften mit Fokus auf Kostenverrechnung und Intercompany-Abstimmungen
  • Erstellung der Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen
  • Vorbereitung weiterer steuerlicher Meldungen
  • Unterstützung bei Jahresabschlussprüfungen
  • Ansprechpartner für Wirtschaftsprüfer und Steuerberater
  • Sicherstellung der Einhaltung handels- und steuerrechtlicher Vorschriften
  • Buchführung und Monatsabschluss mit DATEV Pro
  • Unterstützung bei der Implementierung und dem Übergang zu NetSuite
  • Optimierung bestehender Accounting-Prozesse
  • Mitwirkung an Finance-Digitalisierungs- und Automatisierungsprojekten

Requirements

  • Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Rechnungswesen
  • Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Monatsabschlüssen nach HGB
  • Erfahrung mit Jahresabschlüssen
  • Gute Kenntnisse im deutschen Handels- und Steuerrecht
  • Erfahrung mit Intercompany-Abstimmungen
  • Erste Erfahrungen mit IFRS von Vorteil
  • Ausbildung als Steuerfachangestellte/r oder vergleichbare kaufmännische Ausbildung mit Schwerpunkt Rechnungswesen
  • Weiterbildung zum/zur Bilanzbuchhalter/in (IHK)
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse in DATEV Pro
  • Sicherer Umgang mit MS Excel und/oder Google Sheets
  • Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
