Full job description

Senior Accountant role supporting accounting and finance with day to day accounting tasks, account analysis, month end closing, and financial statement preparation. Responsibilities include balance sheet reconciliations, bank statement reviews, cash management, fixed assets accounting, lease accounting, prepaid expense maintenance, internal controls, SOX compliance, FP&A support, and ad hoc analysis. Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Business, 4+ years general ledger accounting or 3+ years public accounting experience, CPA preferred, strong Excel skills, and experience with Oracle or large ERP systems preferred. Hybrid work schedule with 2 days remote and 3 days in-office in Los Angeles, CA. Salary range $95,000 - $105,000 plus bonus and equity. What you'll do

  • Understand underlying business and related processes
  • Perform day to day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month end closing activities
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review monthly bank statement reconciliations and maintain Cash Management sub-ledger for domestic accounts including multi-currency and foreign exchange transactions
  • Review and maintain Fixed Assets sub-ledger accounting including additions, retirements, depreciation, and reconciliation to the GL
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis
  • Assess accounting impact of new and amended Leases
  • Review and maintain Prepaid expense account and rollforward schedules
  • Maintain internal controls within accounting processes for accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Assist with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) narratives, RCM documentation, and auditor schedules
  • Support FP&A and Financial Reporting with budget vs actuals and SEC filing disclosures
  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis as needed
  • Provide backup and support for Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or 3 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Highly detail and deadline oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Motivated to learn and work hard
  • Public company experience and knowledge of internal controls preferred
  • Oracle experience or experience with large ERP systems preferred
  • Experience in the technology industry a plus
