Full job description
Senior Account Director role focused on data-driven marketing client leadership. Manage 1-3 clients spanning CRM, loyalty, audience analytics, campaign strategy and execution, and related platforms. Build trusted client relationships, identify growth opportunities, manage commercial health including revenue forecasting and scope monitoring, and contribute to renewal and growth strategies. Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client experience. Develop and coach junior team members. Requires 10+ years in account management or client services in digital agency, consulting, or technology services. Proficiency in Salesforce and familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms required. Position is full-time, hybrid work with office presence expected three days per week in New York. Salary range $119,000 - $158,750 plus discretionary incentives. What you'll do
- Build and sustain trusted, multi-threaded client relationships
- Understand client business models, competitive dynamics, and strategic priorities
- Identify emerging client needs and flag risks early
- Connect client challenges to Merkle capabilities and alliance partner solutions
- Manage alignment across client buyers, delivery leads, technology partners, and senior sponsors
- Own commercial health of clients including revenue forecasting, scope monitoring, change order execution, and Salesforce accuracy
- Contribute to renewal strategy and account growth planning
- Provide clear strategic context to delivery teams
- Develop and coach junior account team members
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in account management or client services within a digital agency, consulting firm, or technology services organization
- Experience supporting or leading client programs including CRM, loyalty, email marketing, audience segmentation, or campaign execution
- Ability to discuss how marketing programs are built and delivered with client stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and grow senior client relationships with client retention and organic account growth
- Commercial acumen including revenue forecasting, scope and margin conversations, and financial mechanics of services engagements
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience partnering with Project Managers or Delivery leads on complex, multi-workstream engagements
- Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and account documentation
- Familiarity with one or more leading marketing automation or CRM platforms
- Ability to develop junior talent and contribute to team culture
