Liftoff is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Offensive Security to lead internal offensive testing and transition from point-in-time penetration tests to continuous AI-assisted testing. Responsibilities include planning and executing penetration tests across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and corporate systems; prioritizing assessments by risk; defining testing scope; validating vulnerabilities safely; partnering with engineering teams for remediation and retesting; building testing tools and workflows; supporting third-party penetration tests; leading AI-assisted security tooling adoption; and participating in on-call incident response. Requirements include 5+ years of security engineering experience with hands-on penetration testing, strong judgment in risk prioritization, ability to write production-quality security automation code, strong understanding of application, API, cloud, and infrastructure security, practical software engineering skills, and strong technical writing. Experience with Go, Python, Clojure, or JavaScript and AI-assisted security testing workflows is desirable. The role is remote within the United States.
