Full job description

Microsoft is seeking a senior Sales Manager to lead a team in executing go-to-market strategies for their industry/territory. The role involves driving business growth, managing sales strategies, coaching teams, and fostering customer and partner relationships. Candidates must have a relevant degree and 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or leadership roles, with at least 2 years of people management experience. Responsibilities include leading digital and AI transformation initiatives, developing strategic plans, managing customer value realization, and building executive networks. The position is based in Taipei City, Taiwan.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and build upon sales strategy and execution to drive success within market based on Microsoft and customer/partner needs
  • Drive business within segment, create clarity on strategic direction with managers and teams
  • Coach ongoing customer value realization and satisfaction contributing to net-new revenue and business growth
  • Lead development and implementation of go-to-market for maximizing revenue, consumption, and growth across solution areas
  • Understand drivers of Digital & AI transformation relevant to customers and partners and advise on leveraging transformation solutions
  • Foster culture of inclusion, learning, mentorship, coaching, customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration, and achievement of bold goals
  • Influence and work across segments, partners, and teams to drive growth and transformation
  • Build and maintain broad executive network inclusive of partners
  • Manage people including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance
  • Consult with customers and partners to ensure successful value realization in delivery of solutions
  • Educate internal partners on industry trends and solutions
  • Support efforts to expand relationships across customers' lines of business
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices, digital assets, and digital insights
  • Serve as subject matter expert in local trade, regulatory, and policy environments
  • Coach teams on customer engagement tailored for specific industries
  • Identify and create customer references for repeatable success
  • Drive clarity when leading engagements with key stakeholders to develop execution strategies
  • Build and maintain ecosystem of customer and external partners
  • Create rhythm of business with customers and partners for continuous engagement
  • Model company culture and leadership principles, define team objectives, enable success, and invest in growth of others

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 5+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years direct/formal, indirect/informal, and/or project team people management experience
  • Preferred: Master's Degree AND 6+ years experience or Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience leading teams and/or managers in a Sales organization
  • 4+ years direct/formal, indirect/informal, and/or project team people management experience
