Full job description

Smartly is offering a paid summer internship for 2026 in Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence. The internship is hybrid in New York City, approximately 30 hours per week from June 16 to August 20, 2026, paying $20 per hour. The intern will support the sales team by researching competitors, analyzing industry trends, creating sales materials, improving email sequences, managing content systems, collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams, and completing a final project. Candidates should be full-time college students (rising juniors, seniors, or graduates) interested in advertising, with strong research, analytical, communication, design, and project management skills, and authorized to work in the US.

What you'll do

  • Research and analyze competitor offerings across the media and creative landscape
  • Track and analyze industry trends and competitor activity
  • Help build battlecards to equip sellers with stronger positioning strategies
  • Audit, clean up, and improve email sequences; create new email templates for sellers
  • Streamline content management systems and processes to ensure sellers have quick access to up-to-date resources
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather insights and share findings
  • Work on a final project to be presented to the team at the end of the internship
  • Meet and collaborate with fellow interns in the NYC office

Requirements

  • Full-time rising Junior, Senior, or graduating at an accredited 4-year College or University
  • Highly interested and curious about the advertising industry and competitive landscape
  • Excellent researcher with analytical skills
  • Eye for design and strong project management skills
  • Effective communicator and storyteller
  • Ambitious self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
