Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Smartly, a high-growth SaaS company specializing in automated advertising campaigns across major social media platforms. The role is based in London with hybrid work (minimum 3 days in office). Responsibilities include developing digital advertising knowledge, targeting enterprise accounts, collaborating with Account Executives and Marketing, qualifying prospects using MEDDPICC, improving outbound sales efforts, attending sales calls, and mastering sales tools like Salesforce, Outreach.io, LeadIQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and UserGems. Requirements include 1-3 years experience in sales development or business development in AdTech, digital marketing, B2B SaaS or paid social, strong communication skills, willingness to travel in Europe, English proficiency, and experience with Salesforce or Hubspot. The role offers an opportunity to grow sales skills and learn digital marketing in a tech startup environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop knowledge of digital advertising and industry landscape
  • Target strategic, enterprise accounts with personalised outreach
  • Prospect with Account Executives to build cohesive strategies
  • Partner with Marketing to leverage marketing activities for outbound outreach and generate interest with inbound leads
  • Qualify prospects via MEDDPICC methodology
  • Leverage data and learnings from SDR leadership and team members to improve outbound sales efforts
  • Attend calls later in sales process to learn deal management techniques and help close opportunities
  • Become expert with sales tools including Salesforce, Outreach.io, LeadIQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, UserGems

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in a business development / sales development role in AdTech, digital marketing, B2B SaaS businesses or paid social ecosystem
  • Ambitious self-starter
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence others
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings, conferences and industry events within Europe
  • Ability to work in London office at least 3 days a week
  • Strong English language skills
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or Hubspot
  • Desire to work in a high-growth startup atmosphere
  • Bonus: knowledge of latest trends from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and AdTech industry
