Full job description

Senior Research Manager with 10-12 years of experience in consumer research and insights, specializing in mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative). Responsibilities include interpreting user perspectives, synthesizing data into actionable insights, ensuring methodological rigor, building team capability, connecting research outcomes to client objectives, and managing stakeholder relationships. Lead primary research using interviews, usability testing, diary studies, ethnography, surveys, journey mapping, and prototype evaluations. Design research frameworks, analyze data, create reports and presentations, design proposals, manage projects end-to-end, and guide junior researchers. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Work mode: hybrid (office and client site).

What you'll do

  • Understand and share user perspectives to interpret qualitative narratives and quantitative behaviors
  • Draw nuanced insights during interviews, focus groups, and survey feedback interpretation
  • Synthesize large datasets and complex qualitative inputs into clear, actionable insights
  • Challenge assumptions, validate findings, and ensure methodological rigor across mixed methods
  • Build capability in mixed methods approaches within the team
  • Connect research outcomes to client objectives, market realities, and strategic decision-making
  • Build trust with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Partner effectively with analysts, designers, product managers, and other researchers
  • Maintain clear communication during project briefings, updates, and post-study discussions
  • Make insights accessible and persuasive through clear narratives and visuals
  • Proactively address issues to ensure smooth project closure
  • Drive alignment on research strategies and recommendations
  • Share ideas, foster collaboration, and encourage innovation in research practices
  • Lead primary research through various qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Translate numbers and narratives into compelling stories for stakeholders
  • Guide customers on appropriate research strategies addressing business objectives
  • Design discussion guides, questionnaires, and research frameworks
  • Analyze information and create insights/synthesize findings
  • Create reports and presentations
  • Design proposals and pitches for client studies
  • Be the key point of contact for clients
  • Manage overall projects end to end
  • Guide junior researchers across qualitative and quantitative projects

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in consumer research / insights
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research across multiple categories and geographies
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to decode consumer needs and communicate through storytelling
  • Competence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience leading primary research methods including interviews, usability testing, diary studies, ethnography, surveys, journey mapping, and prototype evaluations
  • Ability to design discussion guides, questionnaires, and research frameworks
  • Experience creating reports and presentations in PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Experience designing proposals and pitches for client studies
  • Project management skills to manage end-to-end research projects
  • Ability to guide junior researchers
