Full job description

StackAdapt is hiring a mid-level Quality Engineer with 2+ years of experience in test automation for API and UI using frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or Junit. The candidate should be proficient in Javascript, Typescript, Python, or Java and familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, or CircleCI. Responsibilities include developing automated test scripts for various testing types, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and run tests in CI/CD environments, providing test feedback, and participating in technical planning and code reviews. Experience with scalable system design, QA methodologies, test case management tools like TestRail, relational databases, and SQL querying is required. The position is full-time and remote within Canada. Salary range for Ontario candidates is $84,000 to $99,750 CAD. What you'll do

  • Develop in-house automated and functional test scripts and tooling for functional, system, API, integration, UI and regression testing
  • Collaborate with Platform, Product, DevOps, and other teams to deploy and run automated tests on test environments with CI/CD
  • Provide timely test result feedback to the Platform Team, QA team and other stakeholders
  • Participate in technical planning, code review and architectural decision-making

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional, hands-on test automation experience with API & UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest or Junit
  • Fluency in at least one of Javascript, Typescript, Python, or Java
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI
  • Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems
  • In-depth understanding of QA methodologies in a software company with short release cycles
  • Experience writing test cases that cover edge/negative cases, compatibility, and concurrency tests in test case management tools like TestRail
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and ability to query for large data sets
