Quality Assurance Analyst

What you'll do

• Plan and accomplish manual and automated testing
• Improve overall quality assurance practices
• Develop and implement automated test cases and scripts
• Review test cases and procedures for coverage and conformance
• Communicate testing progress and results
• Perform impact analysis and regression testing
• Develop test plans and tools for Oracle software on Linux
• Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, business analysts, and users
• Assist in defining software development project plans
• Develop and document software objectives, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare and dispense work assignments and review team members' work
• Define test cases, metrics, and resolve test result questions
• Recommend business process flow improvements
• Perform root cause analysis
• Work with multi-functional teams during crisis to resolve incidents
• Identify areas for process improvement
• Update/create Knowledge Base Articles and case studies
• Assist in Knowledge Management improvements
• Support system patch or version upgrades

Requirements

• 5-9 years of testing experience
• Excellent skills in Oracle PL/SQL
• Hands-on experience on testing Unix Shell scripts
• Experience handling large volumes of data
• Excellent impact-analysis and root cause analysis skills
• Good experience with automation testing and various automation tools
• Experience with API and Web Services testing
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in performance testing and application monitoring
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
• Ability to design flexible and extensible systems
• Experience identifying test strategy and scenarios for back-end systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with version control systems (Git/TFGS/ADO preferred)
• Experience in automotive marketing and/or CRM applications preferred
• Knowledge of database architecture and best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly
• Motivated to learn new applications and domains
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Can-Do attitude
