Full job description

Tatari is seeking a mid-level product designer with 2-5 years of experience designing digital products, especially with data visualization skills. The role involves taking reporting and custom-measurement features from discovery through high-fidelity design, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include user research, creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, improving designs based on data and feedback, and contributing to the design system. Candidates should have a strong foundation in interface, interaction, and visual design, fluency in Figma, and preferably experience with AI prototyping tools. The position is full-time, hybrid with 2 days per week in-office in Los Angeles, California. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 plus equity, with benefits including health insurance, 401K, education stipend, unlimited PTO, and wellness days.

What you'll do

  • Take reporting and custom-measurement features from discovery through high-fidelity design
  • Translate measurement roadmap and detailed requirements into product solutions with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Run or assist with user interviews, usability tests, and other UX research methods
  • Create user flows, wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes including interaction details like hover, focus, and keyboard states
  • Rationalize UX solutions with data and improve designs through user feedback
  • Understand technical functionality and constraints and iterate to meaningful solutions
  • Contribute to the Tatari Design System, document complex systems, share knowledge, and help onboard peers

Requirements

  • 2-5 years designing digital products with a portfolio of shipped work
  • Experience designing accurate and easy-to-read data visualizations (charts, tables, dashboards)
  • Experience at a measurement, analytics, or data-heavy product company is ideal
  • Solid foundation in interface, interaction, and visual design with growing accessibility fluency
  • Fluency in Figma and prototyping
  • Experience with AI prototyping tools is a plus
  • Clear communication skills and embraces feedback and collaboration
  • UX/Product design portfolio or case studies (minimum of 2) demonstrating unique perspective and contribution to shipped products
  • Resume demonstrating relevant skills and expertise
