The Principal, Software Asset Management Enterprise Lead will shape the enterprise-wide strategy for software asset management, licensing, and compliance. Reporting to the VP of Asset Management Services, this role leads initiatives to mitigate compliance risk, optimize software investments, and align licensing practices with business, legal, and technology goals. Responsibilities include developing SAM strategy, establishing governance, executive reporting, managing software lifecycle, overseeing SAM tools (Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow), cost optimization, compliance enforcement, vendor management, risk mitigation, stakeholder collaboration, training, team leadership, and process innovation. Requirements include a bachelor's degree (master's preferred), 10+ years in SAM or related fields with 5+ years leadership, expertise in licensing across on-premise and cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS), strong knowledge of licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, SAP, Salesforce), audit and negotiation experience, analytical skills, and strategic leadership.
