Full job description

PubMatic seeks a senior engineer with 7-12 years of Golang experience on Linux/Unix platforms to design and implement scalable, low-latency DSP bidder features. The role requires proficiency in Go, Kubernetes, containerized environments, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL). Responsibilities include full software development lifecycle ownership, architecture design, production troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, experience with multithreading and system programming, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. The position supports a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and offers benefits including parental leave, healthcare insurance, and broadband reimbursement. A bachelor's degree in engineering (CS/IT) or equivalent is required.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement scalable, low-latency DSP bidder features
  • Leverage Generative AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality
  • Develop and deploy applications on Kubernetes
  • Work in Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Take ownership of software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, release management, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Design technical solutions and contribute to architecture discussions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software

Requirements

  • 7-12 years experience in Golang under Linux/Unix platform
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (CS / IT) or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Go development on Linux/UNIX platforms
  • Experience with Generative AI-assisted development tools
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, OS, and system programming concepts
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Ability to take end-to-end ownership of software development lifecycle
  • Ability to design clean, modular, maintainable, scalable software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior team members
  • Willingness to take Agile scrum responsibilities in absence of Scrum Master
  • Self-directed and independent work capability
  • Demonstrated work ownership and focus to deliver on time
