Full job description

Merkle, a dentsu company, seeks a senior Power BI Expert with 5+ years experience to lead design, implementation, and governance of BI solutions. Responsibilities include acting as Power BI SME, designing scalable data models, developing advanced DAX calculations, building dashboards, leading data transformations with Power Query, implementing data security models (RLS/OLS), managing Power BI Service deployment, enabling governed self-service BI, collaborating with teams, and contributing to BI governance frameworks. Required skills: advanced DAX, star schema/snowflake modeling, Power Query, RLS/OLS, Power BI Service administration, data governance, stakeholder management, fluent English and French. Nice to have: Microsoft Fabric experience, background in aviation or regulated industries. Location: Geneva, Switzerland. What you'll do

  • Act as the Power BI subject matter expert and référent across the organization
  • Design and implement scalable data models (star schema / snowflake)
  • Develop and optimize advanced DAX measures and calculations
  • Build and maintain robust Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Lead data transformation processes using Power Query (M)
  • Ensure implementation of data security models (RLS / OLS)
  • Manage and optimize Power BI Service deployment, including workspaces, pipelines, and access governance
  • Drive governed self-service BI, enabling business users while maintaining data integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions
  • Contribute to best practices, standards, and BI governance frameworks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI in complex environments
  • Strong expertise in advanced DAX
  • Strong expertise in data modeling (star schema / snowflake)
  • Strong expertise in Power Query (M)
  • Proven experience with Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
  • Experience with Power BI Service deployment and administration
  • Experience working in large, multi-business organizations
  • Strong understanding of data governance and self-service BI frameworks
  • Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and French
