Associate Director, Messaging role reporting to SVP, Messaging Delivery Lead. Lead cross-functional digital marketing delivery teams and daily program operations for multiple accounts including project scope, deliverables, resource planning, and profitability. Collaborate with discipline leads for quality control and process improvements. Manage client escalations and maintain delivery continuity. Responsibilities include supporting client marketing strategy, serving as messaging expert, ensuring communication and information flow, managing client relationships, meeting performance objectives, remediation of client incidents, maintaining program plans, and cross-functional planning. Requires 6-8+ years in marketing program/project management or technology focused on digital marketing delivery, strong communication and organizational skills, client management experience, Bachelor's degree, hands-on experience with enterprise messaging platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Next, Adobe Campaign/Journey Optimizer, Braze), and willingness to travel 10-30%. Hybrid work model with remote flexibility and some in-office requirements for employees near HQ or Hub offices. Salary range $94,000 - $152,662. What you'll do
- Provide guidance and leadership support to cross-functional digital marketing delivery teams
- Lead daily program operations for a portfolio of accounts including project scope, deliverables, resource and capacity planning, client and project profitability
- Work closely with discipline leads to assess quality control checks and process improvements
- Support escalation management in partnership with Director-level leadership
- Engage day-to-day client contacts to resolve program issues and ensure delivery continuity
- Partner with discipline areas to support client marketing strategy and understand brand-consumer dynamics
- Serve as messaging subject matter resource applying channel best practices and executional expertise
- Ensure internal teams and partner agencies have needed information for execution
- Communicate consultatively with project management, technical, and marketing disciplines
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with client contacts and internal partners
- Ensure client performance objectives are met, oversee deliverables and timelines
- Partner with clients to define program goals, requirements, and success criteria
- Own remediation process for client-facing incidents including root cause analysis
- Own and maintain program plan reflecting current priorities and milestone status
- Provide regular updates on program progress, risks, and milestones to stakeholders
- Participate in cross-functional planning to identify and resolve issues and remove obstacles
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of experience in marketing program/project management or technology, focused on digital marketing program delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to growth of peers and junior members
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience presenting to clients and cross-functional stakeholders
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex requirements into clear actionable direction
- Experience supporting or coordinating project or development teams across digital marketing programs
- Proven client-facing or client management experience with strong relationship building skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Extensive hands-on experience with one or more enterprise messaging platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Next, Adobe Campaign/Journey Optimizer, Braze)
- Willingness to travel up to 10–30% based on client and business needs
