Full job description

Senior PHP Developer with 6+ years experience required. Responsibilities include full software development lifecycle, ensuring code reusability and stability, resolving security and usability issues, independent work with project overview, delivering complex features, mentoring engineers, and integrating new technologies. Required skills: PHP 7.3-8.1, OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, relational databases, project tools (Atlassian/git/svn), testing (unit, integration, functional), algorithms, distributed systems, and English proficiency. Nice to have: experience with ecommerce platforms (Magento, Prestashop, CS-Cart, xCart), PHP CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla), JavaScript ES6, microservices architecture, and SCRUM methodology. Position is full-time, hybrid (office in Belgrade with remote work flexibility). What you'll do

  • Participate in entire software development cycle: requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, and documentation
  • Ensure long-term code reusability and stability
  • Identify and resolve security and usability issues
  • Work independently with a broad project overview
  • Take ownership of delivery of complex application features and resolve key technical issues
  • Provide accurate personal estimates and comply with estimation process
  • Develop required software features with timely and quality delivery
  • Deliver trainings and participate in knowledge sharing
  • Mentor new software engineers
  • Integrate new technologies
  • Follow company release processes

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with PHP
  • Academic background in IT or equivalent
  • Strong working experience and knowledge with PHP 7.3 to 8.1
  • Clear understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, anti-patterns, and SOLID principles
  • Working experience with relational Databases DBMS
  • Good understanding of project tools (Atlassian OR git/svn)
  • Experienced with testing layers (unit, integration, and functional testing)
  • Knowledge in algorithms and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in English
