Full job description

Smadex is seeking an Operations Intern for the Strategic Ops and AI team. The role focuses on analysis and project management, including supporting account and revenue analysis using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI, maintaining dashboards, using AI tools for data tasks, tracking OKRs and project status, supporting UAT testing, ticket triage, and AI adoption support. Candidates should be pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related fields, with strong Excel skills, project management instincts, attention to detail, and excellent English communication. Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, or SQL is a plus. The position is on-site in Barcelona and offers a paid internship with a salary of 960€ gross/month and various benefits.

What you'll do

  • Support account and revenue analysis using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI, feeding directly into materials reviewed by senior leadership
  • Help maintain and evolve existing dashboards and models
  • Use AI tools (e.g. Gemini) to speed up analysis, data cleaning, summarization, drafting first-pass insights, and identify where AI can streamline recurring reporting tasks
  • Track OKR and project status across a distributed team; maintain project trackers, flag risks and delays early, and prepare status updates for senior leadership
  • Partner with the team on UAT testing: executing test cases, logging bugs, and following up until issues are resolved before go-live
  • Chase down owners, unblock stalled workstreams, and keep cross-functional projects moving
  • Monitor and triage incoming tickets across various queues, categorize, prioritize, and route to the right owner
  • Support AI adoption rollout, tooling evaluation, and governance work as Smadex scales its use of AI across teams

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Comfortable using Excel and data to find patterns and support real decisions
  • Project management instinct with ability to think in timelines, owners, and next steps
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to juggle several workstreams at once
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, or SQL is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English
