Full job description

illumin is hiring a mid-level Network Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Operations team. This full-time remote role is based in the Philippines with working hours aligned to North American Eastern Time. The engineer will maintain, optimize, and secure global network infrastructure across data centres in North America and Europe, working with Juniper switches, Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco firewalls, HAProxy load balancers, and Linux systems. Responsibilities include managing network infrastructure, completing Cisco to Juniper migration, strengthening network security, optimizing load balancing, and collaborating on network operations and automation. Candidates must have hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure, Juniper switching and routing, firewall management, Linux environments, HAProxy load balancing, and a strong understanding of networking fundamentals. Exposure to Kubernetes networking and Python scripting is a plus. The role requires problem-solving skills, clear communication, and flexibility for occasional after-hours support.
