Full job description

RTB House is seeking a mid-level Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain global network infrastructure across multiple data centers. Responsibilities include Linux low-level networking tuning, managing LAN/WAN, working with SONiC and other open-source network OS, automating network provisioning and monitoring using Ansible and Python, developing SONiC ecosystem components, ensuring network security and reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with teams, and participating in strategic projects like data center expansions. Required experience includes strong Linux/UNIX skills, networking fundamentals (switching, routing, TCP/IP), dynamic routing protocols (especially BGP), network automation, familiarity with Kubernetes networking, EVPN, VPP, eBPF, and fluency in English. Cloud networking experience (GCP, AWS) is a plus. The role is full-time based in Poland.

What you'll do

  • Execute Linux low-level networking tuning and debugging to maximize OS stack performance
  • Design, expand, and manage global network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) across multiple data centers
  • Work with open-source technologies like SONiC to shape the future of the network
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring with Ansible, Python, and version-controlled workflows
  • Develop daemons and automate builds and testing for the SONiC ecosystem
  • Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of the network through proactive monitoring and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to deliver fast and reliable services
  • Participate in strategic projects such as data center expansions and designing new network components

Requirements

  • Excellent command of a Linux/UNIX environment at the System Administrator level or higher
  • Experience with Linux low-level networking tuning and debugging
  • Understanding of network fundamentals, including switching, routing (IPv4/IPv6), and TCP/IP
  • Proven experience with dynamic routing protocols, especially BGP
  • Experience with network automation (e.g., using Ansible, Python)
  • Familiarity with modern data center technologies like Kubernetes networking, EVPN, VPP, and eBPF
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a constantly evolving environment
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Nice to have: Experience with cloud networking (GCP, AWS) for hybrid environments
