Full job description

The Manager, Media Strategy is responsible for creating insight-driven proposals and sales collateral from advertiser briefs and RFPs to support Kargo's sales team. This hybrid role requires onsite presence 4 days per week in New York, NY. Key duties include delivering strong, on-brand RFP responses on time, maintaining an up-to-date sales collateral library, designing strategic learning agendas for top clients, translating product knowledge into sales materials, and producing proactive lead-generation content. Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or related fields, advanced skills in PowerPoint and Google Slides, proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, strong written communication, and knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with third-party research vendors and experience supporting sales or client-facing teams in fast-paced media or ad tech environments. Salary range is $80,000 to $84,000 USD.

What you'll do

  • Turn advertiser briefs and RFPs into compelling, insight-driven proposals to help sales team win
  • Build pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral that clearly communicate Kargo's value proposition
  • Ensure RFP responses are strong, on-brand, and delivered on time
  • Maintain and update sales collateral library for active use by sales team
  • Design strategic learning agendas for top-tier clients with research-backed measurement and testing plans
  • Translate product knowledge into clear, sales-ready materials
  • Produce proactive lead-generation collateral such as trend reports, category insights, and creative hooks

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related field — including internship experience
  • Manage and support Associate Media Strategists
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Google Slides skills, with the ability to build polished, strategic, visually compelling presentations independently
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, revenue reporting, and performance tracking
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to craft narratives that connect data to advertiser objectives
  • Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including online advertising fundamentals and emerging media trends
  • Familiarity with third-party research vendors and how to incorporate data into strategic storytelling (preferred)
  • Experience supporting a sales or client-facing team in a fast-paced media or ad tech environment (preferred)
