Full job description
The Microsoft Acquisitions and Venture Success (MAVS) and Corporate Development organization leads technical and commercial due diligence, integration planning, execution, and deal performance governance across Microsoft's acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic ventures. The MAVS Integration Management (IM) team drives due diligence and integration/divestiture phases of the deal lifecycle and provides leadership and support to MAVS functional teams. The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team provides project management support, advances MAVS process and tool capabilities, and drives strategic M&A and transformation initiatives. The S&O M&A Manager leads initiatives from strategy through execution, manages multiple priorities, and leverages AI to scale diligence, integration, and operating rhythms. Responsibilities include shaping M&A strategy, building MAVS capabilities, driving strategic initiatives, managing M&A diligence and integration execution, leading cross-functional deal execution, and improving M&A practices. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills, ability to manage complex programs, interest in technology M&A, and fluency with Microsoft productivity and AI tools. Salary ranges from $86,100 to $169,800 annually in the U.S., with higher ranges in specific metropolitan areas.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Human Resources, or Business
3+ years experience in project management, business operations, finance and analysis, strategic or relationship management role and/or M&A equivalent experience
Proven effectiveness in building case for change and driving complex multi-stakeholder programs to desired results
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience and interpersonal skills preferred
Able to thrive in a non-static, high paced work environment under both direct accountability and influence structures
Interest in technology M&A with intellectual curiosity to learn Microsoft strategy and business/operating models
Detail-oriented; fluency with Microsoft productivity applications and AI products
