Full job description

InMobi Advertising seeks a mid-level commercial finance professional with 4-6 years experience in commercial finance, business finance, deal desk, or FP&A, preferably in adtech, digital media, or marketplace businesses. The role involves partnering with Sales and Commercial Partnerships to financially structure advertiser and agency deals, modeling P&L impacts, developing commercial frameworks, evaluating non-standard deal structures, and analyzing competitive pricing dynamics. The candidate will design and build a commercial deal tracker system, establish review cadences, monitor deal utilization, track renewals, and continuously improve system accuracy and auditability. Strong financial modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets, experience with accruals and revenue adjustments, a systems-building mindset, and clear communication skills are required. An MBA (Finance), CA, or equivalent qualification is mandatory. The position is full-time and located in Bengaluru, India.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Sales and Commercial Partnerships on financial structuring of advertiser and agency deals
  • Model P&L impact of proposed deal terms to provide Sales leadership with full financial visibility
  • Develop and maintain standardized commercial frameworks including deal templates, pricing guardrails, and margin thresholds
  • Evaluate non-standard deal structures with ad hoc financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Analyze competitive pricing dynamics across deal types, geographies, and advertiser segments
  • Design and build a commercial deal tracker as a reliable system of record for all active commercial agreements
  • Establish review cadence for commercial deal health and portfolio reviews
  • Build deal utilization monitoring to track actual spends and margins against committed thresholds in real time
  • Create renewal and renegotiation tracking to ensure visibility of deals approaching expiry or renewal
  • Continuously improve system accuracy and coverage as new deal types emerge
  • Optimize for auditability ensuring every commercial commitment and calculation is traceable from agreement to P&L impact

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in commercial finance, business finance, deal desk, or FP&A with a strong commercial orientation, ideally within adtech, digital media, or marketplace businesses
  • Experience with commercial deal structuring including modelling pricing scenarios, defining tiers, and providing financial input to sales negotiations
  • Ability to independently own a financial workstream end-to-end including running processes, building systems, presenting outputs to stakeholders
  • Strong financial modelling skills to build deal impact models, pricing scenarios, and portfolio profitability views in Excel/Google Sheets from scratch
  • Hands-on experience with monthly accrual mechanics, revenue adjustments, and reconciliation workflows
  • Systems-building mindset to design structured trackers with defined inputs, outputs, and review cadences
  • Clear and structured communication skills to present commercial finance analysis to Sales and business leadership
  • MBA (Finance) from a top-tier business school, CA, or equivalent professional qualification
